Not only in Venice can people do some tour around the city through a canal network. In Thailand particularly in Bangkok, tourist can enjoy a boat ride at a place also known as the "Venice of the East".
Khlong Saen Saep is a popular canal in Thailand were Thais ride boats for transportation. A boat ride is a good alternative for those who would want to get to their destination faster.
But the sad part is that the canal system is slowly getting eliminated because the country is turning the canal into roads and streets.
