In an effort to help reduce global warming, the Obama administration announced on September the twenty first that one hundred million dollars were to be funded in the Economic Recovery Act for about forty three transit agencies, all of which are currently pursuing cutting edge environmental technologies.
In an attempt to also lessen America's dependence on oil, as well as to create green jobs is the purpose of the administrations efforts.
Alabama is said to be one of the states that would be funded under the bidding.
