The Maersk Alabama reached news headlines when a number of Somalian pirates hijacked the ship at hostaged the ship's captain in a series of episodes that were followed all over the world.

Somali pirates vow to fight if attacked

The four stranded Somali pirates who are holding an American hostage vowed that they will fight the US military if they are attacked.
The US Navy is currently coordinating with the FBI to free Richard Phillips, who is held captive by the pirates in a lifeboat some 300 miles off the Horn of Africa.
