The Youth and the Machines

Motor vehicle accidents is one of the leading causes of fatalities and injuries among teenagers in the United States.

A mixture of road violation like over speeding, not wearing seat belts, driving while using cellphones, under the influence of alcohol or drugs and inexperience driving are the usual cause of these accidents specially in rural areas.

The U.S. Department of Transportation's Rural Safety initiative is collaborating with youth groups like NOYS to help them encourage the teenagers to drive safely.

MITI's New Member

A $300-million dollar terminal project in Melford hired Mike Uberoi as a new chief financial and operating officer. Hugh Lynch, chairman of Melford International Terminal Inc (MITI) expects that Uberoi's good track experience in the terminal industry will play a vital aid to the project. MITI which is now developing a 315 acre deep water container terminal, intermodal rail facility and a 1500 acre logistics park at Melford on the Straight of Canso.
