The proposed new screening system of the Transportation Security Administration will require an overhaul of existing Information Technology systems in the country's airports, said TSA officials.
This new screening process will involve requiring air travelers to be prescreened against the government terrorist watch list. The transformation will initially cost airlines close to around $500 million.
